Dental Technology
Advancing dental treatment.
Modern tools. Greater comfort. Better results.
At Lake Hills Family Dentistry, we believe that your dental care should be as efficient, comfortable, and accurate as possible. That’s why we invest in proven, cutting-edge technology that enhances every step of your visit, from diagnosis to treatment planning and beyond.
Dental technology has transformed the way we care for our patients. It not only streamlines complex procedures but also improves the accuracy, speed, and comfort of your overall experience. With today’s innovations, appointments are more thorough, imaging is clearer, and outcomes are more predictable.
Medit Intraoral Scanner
Our Medit intraoral scanner uses optical technology to capture detailed digital impressions of your teeth and bite. Unlike traditional molds that can be uncomfortable or imprecise, this scanner creates a precise 3D model in minutes, improving both comfort and clinical outcomes.
Comfortable Process: No trays or putty, just a handheld scanner that gently captures your smile.
Precision and Speed: Highly detailed digital models enhance the fit and design of crowns, bridges, aligners, and other restorations.
Digital Workflow: Scans are sent directly to our lab partners for quicker turnaround and better accuracy.
MouthWatch Intraoral Camera
First introduced in the early 1990s, intraoral cameras transformed how dentists communicate with patients. Our MouthWatch intraoral camera is a compact, pen-sized device that comfortably fits inside the mouth and captures crisp, magnified images of your teeth and soft tissues. These images are displayed on a monitor right beside you, so you can see exactly what your dentist sees.
Visual Engagement: Real-time visuals allow patients to better understand their condition, such as a hairline crack, early decay, or gum inflammation.
Accurate Documentation: Every image is securely saved to your digital record for future comparison, referrals, or insurance purposes.
Early Detection: With high-resolution magnification, we can detect problems at an earlier stage, often before they appear on an X-ray.
Digital X-Ray
Digital radiography replaces traditional film with electronic sensors that capture images in seconds and display them directly on our screen. Introduced in the late 1980s, this technology significantly reduces radiation exposure while delivering high-resolution images for better clinical analysis.
Greater Image Clarity: Digital X-rays offer enhanced contrast and detail, allowing us to detect issues with greater accuracy.
Less Radiation: Patients are exposed to up to 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays.
Seamless Storage: Images are securely stored and easily transferred between providers, supporting continuity of care.
Surgically Clean Air Filtration
To further support your safety, we’ve installed the Surgically Clean Air system, a premium air purification system that uses multi-stage HEPA filtration and activated carbon to remove airborne toxins, bacteria, viruses, and odors.
Medical-Grade Filtration: Trusted in surgical suites and healthcare settings worldwide.
Whole-Office Circulation: Purifies air in treatment rooms, hallways, and reception continuously.
Better Breathing for All: Creates a fresher, cleaner environment for every visit.
Blue Air Filter
Our operatories and common spaces are equipped with Blue Air HEPA filters, advanced purifiers that remove up to 99.97% of airborne particles. This technology supports a cleaner, safer environment for both patients and staff.
Airborne Particle Reduction: Captures allergens, bacteria, and ultrafine particles in real-time.
Silent, Continuous Filtration: Quietly runs in the background, improving indoor air quality throughout the day.
Added Protection: Enhances overall safety, especially for patients with respiratory sensitivities or during cold and flu season.
